water matters

imagetoday i practiced on a single in the morning & on a double with bridget from the evening mixed masters team in the afternoon / this was my first time ever on a double or two-person shell \ because of strong winds, we sculled at our alternate site, macwilliams park, which had sheltered channels lined with mangroves \ we had to negotiate bends & turns / the intercoastal waterway was quite busy <at one point, a police boat came flying through> & best avoided

learning to scull is like learning sweep rowing all over again \ the technique & movements are essentially the same except with two oars / but when you have two oars in your hand, you seem to forget everything you know about rowing 🙂
